Today was a crazy busy, but very exciting day for Troupe 2757. The day started at 7:30 am with a radio appearance. Immediately following our troupe went on tour and inspired a large crowd of young high school students at a local high school. We rushed back to VVHS and in twenty minutes got ready for the soft opening of our haunted house. This evening, we continued to scare our way to Scotland with the second round of "Your Worst Nightmare" It's not too late to send some donations for us to put in our treat basket! Happy Halloween everyone!

This weekend was full of fun. Fundraising, and the DTASC fall Festival. The biggest hit at the football game, was the wood-fired pizza truck. On Saturday, 29 VVHS Drama students competed in seven different categories. Three of the seven groups advanced to semi-finals, and one of those on to finals. It's a spectacular year for VVHS Drama. Next up, the Haunted House! Scaring Our Way To Scotland
VVHS DRAMA PROUDLY PRESENTS: YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE: A HALLOWEEN HAUNT YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE OCTOBER 29 6th period 6-8 PM OCTOBER 30 6-8 PM ROOM 6 VVHS $3 Get into the Halloween Spirit and help us make our way to The Fringe! The Scotland Crew continued to amaze and impress at our red carpet event. Not only do these 16 lucky students get to perform on an international stage, they are acquiring important life skills along the way. I'm so impressed by their confidence and eloquence when telling the members of our community their stories. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with this amazing group of young adults on this once in a lifetime project. They truly are red carpet superstars! Today, our three coaches stepped up and wore kilts in support of our trip to Scotland. This was the culmination of one of the most enjoyable fundraisers to date. It's so great when all of the departments at our school support the kids and their different activities. Bring home the Ax VVHS football, you have the luck of the kilts on your side! 🏈 A local company has generously donated $500 towards the Scotland Trip. With their donation of $500, they also offer the following challenge:
For every local teacher, administrator, District Office personnel, Board Member, community member or business owner that donates $100 or more, this company will add $10 to their original donation, up to another $500. That means if we can find 50 people to meet this challenge, we will be $5000 or more closer to our goal. We have already raised $17,000, but we have A LONG WAY to go. Is this the month that you can help Victor Valley High School Drama show the world what we are made of? If interested, please contact me and I will explain all of the different ways in which you can get your money to these kids! Give us a space, and we can perform. Yesterday we successfully presented to our district and board. The feedback was positive and we are hoping that it helps generate discussion of our trip and our fundraising! |
