It's so hard to believe that April is upon us. March has been an action packed month filled with many wonderful activities and opportunities. The first week of March, Troupe 2757 traveled to Alhambra, CA to Mark Keppel High School to watch their amazing production of Peter Pan. We will be traveling to Scotland this summer with MKHS, and we are so thankful that we have been able to build friendships with them throughout the year. It is an honor to be chosen amongst programs such as Mark Keppel's to perform at the largest arts festival in the world. I am personally thankful for the friendship that I have formed with their fabulous and talented director, Page Phillips. It has been a true blessing to have a friend and confidant on this crazy journey! March also brought our production of Bring It On the Musical. We were the high Desert premiere of this show, and one of the first high schools to produce it. It was high flying fun and a true hit with our audience. The students of Victor Valley High School Drama and Cheer, certainly partnered together to BRING IT ON! We'll always smile when we remember this! On March 21, one of our fabulous Fringe parents organized a Zumbathon to raise money for our dream. It was a fitness and fun filled morning. Our fans danced to the beat as their admission helped us move closer to making our dream a reality. It was great fun to see some favorite alumni faces and to give everyone a good laugh as I attempted to Zumba! Did you know that not only is March known for it's Madness, but it is also "Celebrate Arts in Schools" month? What better way to celebrate the arts at Victor Valley High School than spreading the word about our ongoing goal of raising money to make our Scottish dreams a reality. To update all of our loyal followers, we are currently at $56,000. We have $44,000 to go to reach our goal. If you are inspired by our story, believe in our student actors, want to help us tell the world about a little town called Victorville, or just have a really big tax return you'd like to share, please contact us. You'll be "mad" at yourself if you don't!
